Richard (Dick) H. Ellis to receive Merit Award
The APLA Executive is pleased to announce that Richard (Dick) H. Ellis will be honoured at the Merit Award Banquet and Dance, Saturday May 26, 2007 - 6pm-1am.
Dick Ellis has been a longstanding member of APLA holding the positions of President and Bulletin Advertising Editor. In addition to his APLA contributions, he has been an active participant in
various associations and organizations including CACUL and CARL and the Council of Atlantic University Librarians (CAUL) over the last 36 years. Since coming to the region in 1971 he has been a leader, mentor and friend to the Atlantic Provinces library community, nurturing the careers of many librarians in Newfoundland. Please come and celebrate the achievements of this well known and much respected pillar of our community.
The APLA Merit Award Banquet is open to the whole library community - you do not have to attend the conference to attend this event. Tickets will be available onsite and can also be purchased online at www.apla.ca
